UPND north officials released on bail

Sixteen (16) upnd officials and members who were remanded in the Chinsali correctional facility have been released after meeting the bail conditions.

the detainees who included upnd northern province chairman Nathan Ilunga were released on Wednesday around 17:00hours after spending 13 days in detention.

they were arrested in Shiwang’andu district on 11^th July and stand charged with being in possession of offensive weapons before the Chinsali magistrate court.

speaking after being released, Mr. Ilunga thanked the party president Hakainde Hichilema for facilitating their release.

He says they will now intensify party mobilization campaigns to ensure the party is victorious come 2021.
