CCZ happy PF has realized proposed Constitution Amendment Bill is unprogressive

The Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) is pleased that the ruling PF has finally realised that some proposed amendments  to the Republican Constitution do not mean well.

General Secretary Emmanuel Chikoya says the CCZ however calls on the PF to extend their convention of hearts to others to realize the whole Constitution Amendment t 2019 Bill is not progressive.

Father Chikoya, in a statement released to Q-News says the view of his council is that the entire Bill must be withdrawn.

He notes that the Bill has too many unfair, ambiguous and undefined pieces thereby not serving the interests of majority Zambians.

Father Chikoya says the CCZ further extend its call to all Members of Parliament not to support the Constitution Amendment Bill 2019 and instead choose to stand on the side of majority Zambians.

He says his council also maintains its position on both the Electoral Process and Public Order Amendment Bills.
