ATI Bill is no longer at Ministry of Justice – Lubinda

Minister of Justice Given Lubinda has clarified that his Ministry is no longer in possession of the approved Access To Information (ATI) Bill.

Mr. Lubinda says the Bill was cleared by his Ministry before it was approved by Cabinet in March this year.

In an interview with QTV News Mr. Lubinda has disclosed that Cabinet did however decide that security wings of government also look at the said piece of legislation and have a say.

Mr. Lubinda states that this is because, despite being approved, the Access To Information Bill has issues to deal with national security.

He says the ATI Bill is thus no longer in the Ministry of Justice.
