Mwila dissolves PF leaderships in Mungwi District

Patriotic Front Secretary General, Davies Mwila has dissolved the constituency and district leaderships in Mungwi District in Northern Province.

In his letter to Northern Province Chairperson and Lupososhi Member of Parliament, Lazarus Chungu, dated 18th March, 2019, Mr. Mwila says the Malole Constituency and Mungwi District committees have been dissolved with immediate effect.

He says the two committees have been held liable for the party’s failure to file-in nominations for a candidate in the Mfinshe Ward by-election.

Mr. Mwila has since appointed Mungwi district Vice Council Chairperson, Kelvin Chafilwa acting PF district Chairperson.

The PF candidate for Mfinshe Ward by-election in Malole Constituency, Mungwi District was unable to file-in his nomination papers on 14th March, 2019 leaving the UPND and FDD as the only parties to contest the by-election.

The PF candidate had allegedly left behind some of the documents required by Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ).
