Lungu’s corruption call on citizens are empty words-Milupi

Opposition Alliance for Democracy and Development (ADD) President Charles Milupi has described as empty words, President Edgar Lungu’s call on citizens to join the fight against corruption.

In his state of the nation address to Parliament on national values and principles, President Lungu invited Zambians to the corruption battle front and urged them to report all cases of corruption in the Country to relevant authorities.

But Mr. Milupi has wondered how President Lungu can expect ordinary citizens to take part in the fight against corruption when he himself has failed to address the vice among his own Ministers.

Mr. Milupi tells Q-news that if the fight against corruption is to be successful in Zambia, it should be led by the Head of State himself.

He says when late former President Levy Mwanawasa led the fight against corruption; people in the Country were able to see the results.
