The United National Independence Party (UNIP) says it will not contest any by-election that is called between now and 2021.
UNIP information and publicity committee secretary Mubanga Chileshe says his party is focusing on mobilizing ahead of the 2021 general elections
Mr. Chileshe says UNIP wants to build and strengthen its structure before contesting the general elections.
He has also disclosed that UNIP has no intention of entering into an alliance with another political party ahead of the 2021 general elections.
