President Edgar Lungu on Saturday morning hosted medical doctors and lawyers for a physical activity session at State Lodge in Lusaka.

The pack of medical doctors was led by Minister of Health Chitalu Chilufya and his permanent secretary Kennedy Malama while lawyers were led by Attorney General Likando Kalaluka.

Other noted people that took part in the session are brothers, Tinashe  and Job Kaswesh, who recently underwent a kidney transplant surgery at the University Teaching Hospitals in Lusaka.

The physical activity session began at 05:30hours to 08:00hours and covered 15 kilometers of different paces and styles.

And speaking after the over 2 hours physical activity, President Lungu reiterated his concern over the number of young people who are dying and suffering from Non Communicable Disease (NCDs).

President Lungu has stressed the need for people in the Country to maintain healthy diets and engage in physical activity.

He has particularly appealed to lawyers and medical doctors, who took part in the physical activity at his official residence, to entrench wellness and lead healthy lifestyles.

The President has also disclosed that in June this year he intends to lead a major physical activity.

Meanwhile Dr. Chilufya has challenged medical doctors in the Country to proactively lead by example in  promoting good health.
