Chief Government Spokesperson Dora Siliya says government will not be deterred from tabling the Constitution amendment bill.

Speaking at a media briefing, Ms Siliya says whether the opposition is against the Constitution bill being table in Parliament does not matter at this stage.

She says government is bigger than any political party and therefore what the opposition is saying about dialogue and the constitution matters less.

Ms Siliya says final say on the constitution lies with Parliament.

And Ms Siliya says Zambia’s High Commissioner to Kenya Brenda Muntemba is in a stable condition after her official vehicle was involved an accident with the official vehicle of her Botswana counterpart in Nairobii,Kenya.

She however states that government is still waiting for a comprehensive statement on details of the accident.
