Sampa directs Hybrid Chicken statue to be removed

Lusaka Mayor Miles Sampa has directed that the Hybrid Chicken statue at Chainama roundabout be removed within the next two weeks.

In a letter dated 25^th February,2019 addressed to Hybrid Poultry Farming Country Director, Huw Morris and copied to the ministry of local government and housing, Mr. Sampa states that the current policy on all roundabouts in the city is to have them simple, green with grass and a fountain or national Hero statue in the middle.

In the letter bearing the reference” Removal of the chicken statue at the Chainama roundabout, Mr Sampa further stresses that all billboards or any other form of advertising can be placed outside the roundabout and not inside.

He has since guided that the chicken statue be placed outside on the road leading to Hybrid or Chamba valley area.
