Kambwili’s expulsion is null and void – Akafumba

National Democratic Congress vice president Joseph Akafumba says the expulsion of NDC consultant Chishimba Kambwili announced by party Secretary General Mwenya Musenge is null and void.

Addressing a media briefing, Mr Akafumba says there has never been a central committee meeting held to expel Mr Kambwili or terminate his services as party consultant.

He says the expulsion of any party member cannot be undertaken by any individual but can only be done by a resolution of the central committee.

Mr.Akafumba says the attempt therefore by Mr Musenge to expel Mr Kambwili is a violation of the NDC constitution.                    

And Mr Akafumba has defended Mr Kambwili’s alleged racial remarks against a road construction worker believed to be of Indian origin.

He says Mr Kambwili is not a racist, but that what led him to say what he said was the passion he has for the suffering poor Zambians and the huge army of unemployed youths in the country.

Mr. Akafumba says it is not a secret that the country faces a huge unemployment levels among the youths.
