Sesheke violence underlines need for National Dialogue – Cochrane-Dyet

British High Commissioner to Zambia Fergus Cochrane-Dyet says the violence that marred the recent Sesheke Parliamentary by-election underlines the need for National Dialogue in the Country.

Mr. Cochrane-Dyet says there need for Zambia to have a meaningful national dialogue.

He says the country faces the prospects of serious trouble in 2021 if it does not have the national dialogue.

Mr. Cochrane-Dyet says Zambia’s cooperating partners such as Britain want to see a fully consultative dialogue that will look at issues such as the Public Order Act.

He says Britain also expects this dialogue process to look at Electoral and constitutional reforms.
