Kabimba advises fired Sesheke cops to drag to govt to court

Rainbow Party leader Wynter Kabimba has advised Police officers who have been fired following the Sesheke Parliamentary by-election that was characterized by violence to challenge their dismissal in the Courts of law.

Mr Kabimba does not think it is by mere coincidence that their dismissal can come shortly after the ruling PF lost in the election they were policing.

Mr. Kabimba, who is also lawyer, thinks that whoever has dismissed the four police officers must justify the grounds upon which they have been fired in the Courts of law.

He has told Q-News that it is unfortunate that when the ruling party loses in an election, innocent police officers have to be victimized in such a manner for doing their professional job.

Mr. Kabimba says it is not only unfair to the four police officers themselves, but also their families.

He says this is why it is important that the affected officers challenge their dismissal in court in order to bring to an end the culture of dismissing at will.
