The Opposition Alliance has demanded for the immediate arrest of all the ruling PF cadres who on Thursday staged a protest outside Parliament premises without a police permit.
Spokesperson Sean Tembo says his Alliance is aware that the said PF cadres did not comply with the provisions of the Public Order Act by giving the police a notice prior their remonstration.
Mr. Tembo says failure to arrest the PF cadres for staging an illegal protest will therefore mean that the Zambia Police is not a state institution but a militia of the ruling party.
He says if however the Zambia Police is a state institution, it must henceforth enforce the law fairly and equitably to all citizens regardless of their political affiliation.
