Multichoice obeys directive to suspend Lusaka hustle show

Multi-Choice Zambia has engaged Zambezi magic to suspend the scheduling of the Lusaka Hustle show until further notice.

This follows a formal directive from the Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) on Tuesday the 12th of February to suspend the show with immediate effect for promoting ideas and lifestyle the Authority does not want Zambians to be exposed to.

In brief statement obtained by Q-News Multi-Choice Zambia says it is thus facilitating compliance with the directive.

The company that operates the DStv Satellite Television service however states that it will follow the appeal procedure set out in the IBA Act with the view of getting clarity on the interpretation  of the law.

It says it will, on the other hand, remain committed to promoting local content and respect for the law.
