PF to petition outcome of Sesheke by-election

The ruling PF says it will petition the outcome of the Sesheke Parliamentary by-election.

Secretary General Davies Mwila says his party has opted to petition the election results because of the violence that marred the campaigns.

Addressing a media briefing in Lusaka Mr. Mwila said his party lost the by-election because of the enemies of democracy whom he has accused of turning the constituency into a blood bath.

Mr. Mwila says the ruling PF however refuses to revenge as it  has chosen to remain issue based and focused on uniting Zambia beyond tribal and political divides.

He states that his party’s meekness should not, on the other hand, be mistaken for weakness.

And Mr. Mwila says his party is joyful and humbled by its victory in all the 7 local government by-elections held on Tuesday.
