HH hails Sesheke by-election victory

UPND president Hakainde Hichilema has hailed his party’s victory in the just ended Sesheke Parliamentary by-election as the birth of a movement against tyranny and suppression.

Mr. Hichilema believes that with this movement, the yoke of tyranny in Zambia will soon be replaced with peaceful coexistence that is focused on economic development.

In a statement to thank the people of Sesheke, Mr. Hichilema has told Q-News that his party’s victory in the Parliamentary by-election has proved that the ballot is stronger than the bullet.

Mr. Hichilema has since thanked UPND members and supporters for standing up against the bullets, machetes, and teargas that were allegedly used on them during the campaigns.

He states that the new Sesheke Member of Parliament, Romeo Kango’mbe, represents the UPND’s resolve to recognize the leadership potential of youths in the Country.
