Control emotions, KaKa counsels Opposition Alliance

Zambia Center for Interparty Dialogue (ZCID) trustee Katele Kalumba has described as politically perplexing the withdrawal of the Opposition Alliance from the ZCID.

Dr. Kalumba is wondering how a political party like the UPND, which is part of the Opposition Alliance, can withdraw from the ZCID when it is a founding signatory of the ZCID Trust Deed.

He suspects that the UPND may have joined other Alliance political parties in withdrawing from the ZCID out of emotions.

Dr. Kalumba, who is also Sub-Chief Natende of Chiengi District, has since advised political parties in the Opposition Alliance, to control their political emotions.

He is reminding them that as political parties registered under the Registrar of Societies, they are the ones that have created the ZCID as their platform to resolve inter-party differences.

The ZCID trustee has urged political parties in the Alliance to get back to the drawing table about their intention to form ZCID.

He is of the view that political parties that are unable to manage their own creation are likely to fail manage the nation once they are in power.
