Education Minister David Mabumba has announced that the ministry has finalized the listing of the names of the Teaching Council of Zambia and Examination Council of Zambia Commissioners.
This follows after Zambia National Union of Teachers (ZNUT) appealed to general education minister David Mabumba to quickly appoint a council in order to enhance the performance of the Teaching Council of Zambia.
But Mr. Mabumba has told journalist in Lusaka that his ministry is just waiting for the verification of the names that have been appointed to spearhead the operations of the functionality of the Teaching Council of Zambia.
The General Education Minister has regretted that the commissioners haven’t been put in place a situation he said is unfortunate.
Mr. Mabumba has however assured members of the public and stakeholders in the education sector that the commissioners for the two institutions will be announced in the first quarter of 2019.
