ZNUT) Public Relations Manager Joe Kasaka

Zambia National Union of Teachers (ZNUT) Spokesperson, Joe Kasaka has commended schools across the country for recording 100 percent pass rate in the 2018 grade seven examinations.

Mr. Kasaka says this is an indication that teachers are putting efforts in improving the education standards in the country.

He has told Q-news that it is for this reason that government should continue supporting the education system by funding it adequately and improving teachers’ pay in order to motivate them.

Mr. Kasaka has attributed the high pass rate to self-discipline and commitment by teachers.

Minister of General Education David Mabumba announced today that all the 388,331 candidates who sat the 2018 grade seven composite examinations have been selected to grade 8, representing a 100 percent national progression rate from 99.14 recorded in 2017.
