Enter New Year with renewed hope, HH urges Zambians

Opposition UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema has encouraged Zambians to be more positive as they enter the New Year.

Mr. Hichilema has urged people in the Country to face 2019 with a renewed sense of hope.

In his seasonal greetings statement jointly issued with his wife Mutinta, Mr. Hichilema has told Q-News that he is humbled with the ongoing spirit of oneness and unity of purpose in the Country.

Mr. Hichilema states that this is as it should be, adding that Zambians must not allow anyone to divide them.

He has also reminded people in the Country that Christmas, which falls on the 25th of December annually, is a time for giving and sharing.

Mr. Hichilema says giving and sharing, however, need not be in physical form, but that one celebrating this day can give love, a smile, a helping hand or anything that demonstrates the love of Christ.

He has advised Zambians to , on the other hand, celebrate Christmas responsibly and avoid involving themselves in illicit activities that may endanger their lives and those of others
