Quickly set date for dialogue, VJ urges church

The three Church mother bodies have been urged to quickly set a date for the National Dialogue.

Veteran politician Vernon Mwaanga is calling upon the three church mother bodies spearheading the dialogue process to waste no time in holding the National Dialogue.

Dr. Mwaanga says the dialogue process should commence as quickly as possible in order for the country to enter the New Year with a sense of new hope.

In an interview with Q-News by telephone, Dr. Mwaanga says he remains an enthusiastic supporter of the dialogue process that is held in the spirit of give and take.

He says political party leaders need to start talking to each other as opposed to talking at each other in addressing national issues.

And Dr. Mwaanga says he does not think the recent Constitutional Court ruling that cleared President Lungu to seek re-election in 2021 will have a bearing on the National Dialogue.
