2018 an economically and socially wasted year- Syakalima

UPND Presidential Advisor Douglas Syakalima says his party will remember 2018 as an economically and socially wasted year.

Mr. Syakalima says the upnd shares the lamentation of many other Zambians that the economic conditions in the year ending 2018 have been very difficult to cope with.

In an interview with QTV News, Mr. Syakalima says there is equally nothing to write home about when it comes to respecting and upholding the rule of law in 2018.

Mr. Syakalima, who is also Chirundu member of parliament, says Zambians are witness of how the patriotic front government has also suffocated the political atmosphere in the country in 2018.

He says in his view the patriotic front government has only proved to be a mischievous regime.

Mr. Syakalima states that Zambians should therefore brace themselves for tougher times to come in 2019.

He says the recently passed 2019 national budget does give hope that things will improve.
