Work together, clean Zambia – ECL

President Edgar Lungu has encouraged Zambians to work together to clean the country.

President Lungu has emphasized the need for Zambians to work together, as one unified community of people to ensure the sustainable cleaning of the environs and help make Zambia cleaner and safer.

Speaking during the Cavendish keep Zambia clean campaign in Lusaka President Lungu says people should learn to work together in keeping the country clean because when cholera comes it does not choose which political party one comes from.

He adds that cleanliness is for the good and well being of every Zambian citizen hence the need to promote it.

President Lungu says the country should work together and move the country forward like the motto one Zambia one nation.

President Lungu says the keep Zambia clean, green and healthy campaign should move forward and outlive the tenure of office of the patriotic front government because it is for the good and well being of the nation.

Speaking at the same event Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo says is happy that the residents have continued to respond positively to the keep Zambia clean campaign.

He adds that it is also pleasing to note that even the private sector have also been participating in the campaign.

And Local Government Minister Vincent Mwale says his ministry attaches great importance to keeping Zambia clean, green and healthy.

He adds that the ministry will soon introduce award giving ceremony to appreciate the people who have taken part in ensuring that this campaign is pushed forward.

And Cavendish University Vice Chancellor Dr Kalombo Mwansa says the university is dedicated and committed to community initiatives aimed at maintenance of a clean and safe environment for all.
