ZACCI calls for more info on national airline re-launch

The Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry has called for more information to be given out on the re-launch of the national airline scheduled for the first quarter of 2019.

ZACCI president Michael Nyirenda says considering that the year 2018 is almost coming to an end; there is need for the ministry of transport and communications to provide more information on the operations of the national airline.

Mr. Nyirenda also hopes that government has learnt from the mistakes of the past and will this time around avoid them.

He states that situations were ministers and other government officials use the airline without paying should not be entertained this time around.

Mr. Nyirenda has emphasized the need for government through the ministry of transport and communications to begin informing the public on the benefits of the national airline to the country and how it will be operationalised, noting that the information currently in the public domain is scanty.
