750 bed capacity hospital to be constructed in central province

Central Province Minister Sydney Mushanga has disclosed that some Indian Investors have shown interest to construct a 750 bed capacity hospital in the province.

Mr. Mushanga says this follows the hosting of the 2018 Central Province Investment Forum and Expo.

Speaking at a press briefing, Mr. Mushanga says the province is thinking of having the said hospital constructed between Chitambo and Chisamba districts.

Mr. Mushanga says this is because the Kabwe General Hospital has now been elevated to central hospital level.

He is confident that once completed the new hospital and other hospitals in the province will feed into Kabwe Central hospital.

And speaking at the same event, Luapula Province Minister Nickson Chilangwa also revealed that over 70 companies have shown interest in investing in the province.

Mr. Chilangwa is happy that the province is gaining popularity among investors since the hosting of the province’s first ever investment expo.

Meanwhile Northern Province Minister Brian Mundubile has told journalists that his province has received US$ 4.5 billion in investments pledges in various sectors following a successful hosting of Northern Province Investment Expo.

Mr. Mundubile says the province has received overwhelming recognition from both international and local investors, who have shown interest in investing in Agriculture, Tourism among other sectors.
