YALI challenges ECZ over printing ballot papers locally

YALI President Andrew Nthewewe

Young African Leaders Initiative President Andrew Ntewewe has challenged the electoral commission of Zambia to tell the nation whether the 2021 ballot papers will be printed locally or abroad to avoid raising tension among political stakeholders.

Mr. Ntewewe says it is incumbent for the ECZ to come out clear and update the nation now, on where the 2021 ballot papers will be printed.

He notes that the issues of printing the ballot papers are a source of electoral violence hence the need for the electoral body to tell the nation where the 2021 ballot papers will be printed as a way of averting the breaking out off any possible violence in the country.

Meanwhile Mr. Ntewewe has commended the Electoral Commission of Zambia for bridging the gap between itself and the stakeholders through continuous sensitization on the electoral process.
