United Party for National Development (UPND) Nkeyema Member of Parliament Kapelwa Mbangweta has charged that President Edgar Lungu lacks the political will to win the fight against corruption.
Mr. Mbangweta says the President has on countless occasions turned a blind eye to numerous acts of corruption involving his appointees.
He states the president has failed to fulfill his very own conditions for solving the corruption danger in the country.
And Mr. Mbangweta has also accused President Lungu’s government of economic mismanagement.
Mr. Mbangweta has reminded President Lungu that during campaigns in 2016, he delivered several lectures on the economy and how he would rein in on the economy and take it to high levels once the PF won the elections.
He states that President Lungu administration has failed to make good on that promise.
Mr. Mbangweta says the current economic difficulties Zambia is experiencing call for efficient and honest management of public resources and projects.
