Patriotic Front Nakonde Member of Parliament, Yizukanji Siwanzi says the k1.4 billion works on the great north road in nakonde will commence after the rainy season.
Mr. Siwanzi says the contract for the rehabilitation of the road funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB) has already been awarded to China Railway and China state company.
He has told QTV News that the rehabilitation of the road is coming with a lot of benefits for the people of Nakonde who will be empowered with employment especially the youth.
Mr. Siwanzi explains that aside from thousands of aligned employment and income generation activities, more than 2,500 direct jobs are to be created.
