Embattled patriotic front roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili has been granted a k30, 000 cash bail after pleading not guilty to one count of unlawful assembly.
Mr. Kambwili who is also National Democratic Congress Consultant appeared in the luanshya magistrate court after having been detained on Thursday.
He was initially brought to court at 09:00 hours but was taken back to the cells with his case rescheduled for 14:00 hours.
The cash bail is worth k30,000 together with the other avic workers with two working surities.
Magistrate has since set 14th, 28th December and 14th January as dates for mention and February the 11th12th and 13th 2019 for trial.
On Thursday, police in Lusaka arrested and transported Mr Kambwili to luanshya where he was wanted for questioning.
He was arrested at police force headquarters where he had gone to lodge a complaint against Copperbelt Police Commissioner Charity Katanga for rejecting his request to defer his questioning by police in luanshya.
