Suggestions for early elections are misplaced- Tayali

Economic Equity Party (EEP) president Chilufya Tayali says any suggestion for early elections is misplaced.

Mr Tayali says the EEP does not think Zambia has grind to a halt that would necessitate the current government seeking a fresh mandate from the people.

He tells Q-News that what his party however thinks the Country currently needs from opposition political parties is for them to offer credible checks and balances to the Patriotic Front government.

Mr. Tayali says there is need for opposition political parties to realize that politics is not only about elections but about serving the people.

He states that this implies that a politician can still serve the people without necessarily being in government.
