President Edgar Lungu says government will not compromise on the twenty (20) percent sub contraction policy for foreign contractors.

Early this year, government through the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure Development expressed concern on how some foreign Contractors are failing to adhere to the twenty (20) percent sub contraction policy to Zambian contractors across the country.

But President Lungu has implored foreign contractors to partner with local contractors in areas where they cannot work due to lack of skills to ensure that they transfer the skills to local contractors.

He has told Journalist on the Copperbelt after inspecting the ongoing construction of the bridge on Dag Hammarskjold Drive that he is impressed with the works being done so far.

President Lungu says this is an indication that his administration is implementing its campaign promises it made prior to the 2016 general election.

And President Lungu has maintained that he will work with all investors who have shown interest in investing in the country.

The Head of state has therefore advised employers to dialogue with their workers and address the challenges facing workers across the country.
