Government is being urged to devise policies to force the cost of borrowing by implementing the recommendations from world bank.

Independent Churches Of Zambia (ICOZ) Board Chairperson, Bishop David Masupa says there is need for government to consult with all stakeholders to curb rising debt as any further increase will jeopardize the economic future of the country.

He has emphasized the need for government to take urgent measures to reduce the country’s dependence on borrowing.

Bishop Masupa has told QTV news in an interview that even though Zambia is not among the five countries which have been named to be in severe debt crisis, there is urgent need to ensure that this is addressed.
