Hamusonde calls for quick settling of CDF balance

hamusondeUPND Nangoma Member of Parliament Boyd Hamusonde has appealed to government to quickly settle the balance of constituency development funds (CDF).

Speaking in an interview with QTV news, Mr. Hamusonde says the recently disbursed money amounting to five hundred thousand kwacha is too minimal to carry out any developmental projects the money.

Mr. Hamusonde has disclosed that Nangoma is among the thirty constituencies that have received a portion of the CDF but has however indicated that the money will not go anywhere in bringing development in the area.

He has described the disbursing of the said amount is a mockery especially that the constituencies have for a long time not received and continues to add on the poverty being experienced in the constituencies.

Meanwhile Mr. Hamusonde has disclosed that Nangoma constituency will utilize the just released CDF funds to complete the construction of a named school in the area.

Last month, government announced the release of about sixty million kwacha, constituency development fund (CDF) to thirty constituencies.
