President Edgar Lungu is this Sunday expected to be on the Copperbelt for a one day working visit.
Copperbelt Province Minister Japhen Mwakalombe has confirmed that President Lungu’s program will start with a church service at Pentecostal Assemblies of God in Chifubu, Ndola.
Mr. Mwakalombe says after the church meeting President Lungu will later in the day officially commission the Michael Chilufya Sata Toll Gate on the Ndola-Kitwe dual carriageway.
In an exclusive interview with QTV News Mr. Mwakalombe says President Lungu is also expected to tour the modern Ndola Airport which is under construction.
And Mr. Mwakalombe says people of the Copperbelt are happy that President Lungu is walking the talk on what it promised them in diversifying the province’s economy away from copper into Agriculture.
He notes with the construction of the Ndola Airport, farmers in the province are now certain that they will have easy access to markets for their farm produce.
