The Civil Society Constitution Agenda (CISCA) says it will resort to pressuring government to release the refined draft constitution if government does not release the national document as a matter of urgency.

Speaking at a media briefing held in Lusaka, CISCA Spokesperson Macdonald Chipenzi says CISCA is concerned with the lack of guidance on the draft constitution.

Mr. Chipenzi says the consortium is therefore challenging minister of justice given lubinda to tell the nation where the refined draft constitution is.

He says unless government explains why the process of refining the constitution has lost momentum, CISCA will take it that the process has collapsed and was only a conduit to abuse public funds.

And Bishop mambo who is CISCA Chairperson says CISCA has endorsed the three church mother bodies’ proposed road map for holding the national dialogue.

Bishop Mambo says CISCA agrees with the Church Mother Bodies that national dialogue requires more time.

He states CISCA is however, surprised that the leadership of the church to handle the dialogue process is still being contested.

Bishop Mambo says CISA’S astonishment is particularly that just a month ago,it was the Church that presided over the national day of prayer and not the Zambia center for interparty dialogue (ZCID).
