Continuous assessment of pupils key in curbing rampant examination malpractices-Prof. Mwansa

dicksonCampaign for Female Education (CAMFED) Zambia Board Chairperson, Professor Dickson Mwansa says continuous assessment of students will help address the issue of examination leakage in the country.

Professor Mwansa has told q-news that most pupils embrace leakage because they lack continuous assessment which would determine their level of intellectual quality for a final exam.

He says government through the Ministry of General Education should give prominence to continuous assessment and ensure that those pupils who do not perform well when assessed do not proceed to the next level or examination grades.

Professor Mwansa says this will help address use of leakage by pupils during exams.

He states that CAMFED has been and will continue advocating for enhanced continuous assessment for school pupils.

Professor Mwansa says the continued and persistent problem of leakage is a mockery to the examination system in the country and requires consented efforts to address.
