Over 120 Million Kwacha released to pay contractors across the country-Chitotela

Housing and Infrastructure Development Minister Ronald Chitotela has announced that over 120 Million Kwacha has been released to pay to contractors across the country.

Mr. Chitotela told journalists in Lusaka that the money was released last week to pay local contractors across the country.

Mr. Chitotela says his ministry is paying attention to the local contractors, stating that the economy can only grow if it is fully owned by locals and locals can only own the economy if they are paid their dues and empowered.

The minister says he is pleased to note that local contractors are improving in their delivery of services.

He has further announced that his ministry will release more funds to both the local and foreign contractors in the next three weeks.
