LAZ to take position on Dialogue after Church meeting

The Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) says it will make a position on the issue of national dialogue only after the Church holds its meeting on Tuesday next week.

LAZ president Eddie Mwiitwa says his association has been following matters relating to the holding of the national dialogue from a distance, but has not take a position.

EDDIE-MWITWAMr. Mwiitwa says with the development that are coming now  however, LAZ may have to state its position especially after taking part in the dialogue process that was initiated by the Commonwealth.

In an interview with QTV News by telephone Mr. Mwiitwa says his association was actively involved in the Commonwealth led process by Professor Ibrahim Gambari.

Mr. Mwiitwa states that it is however unfortunate that this commonwealth led dialogue process seems to have been abandoned.

He thinks that this is what could have in this case contributed to LAZ not taking an active role in other the process that has been talked and which is yet to come to fruition.

Mr. Mwiitwa says LAZ will however have its own meeting on the national dialogue process next week.
