Mnangagwa flies in ahead of Zambia’s independence day

vlcsnap-8381-07-01-15h48m58s364Zimbabwean President Emerson Mnangagwa has arrived in Zambia ahead of tomorrow’s Independence celebrations.

President Mnangagwa arrived at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (KKIA) aboard Air Zimbabwe and was received by President Edgar Lungu.

The Zimbabwean leader proceeded to inspect a guard of honor mounted by the Zambia Army.

The visiting Head of State was also accorded a 21 gun salute and later treated to some entertainment by the cultural troupes and the Patriotic Front Choir.

President Mnangagwa is scheduled to grace this year’s Independence Day with his Zambian counterpart President Lungu, on Wednesday, 24th of October.

This year’s Independence Day is being commemorated under the theme, “54th Independence anniversary celebrating a shared future of unity, development and prosperity.”

Various activities have since been lined up to mark the country’s political liberation day.
