The Southern African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (SACCORD) has encouraged Zambians regardless of political affiliation to take part in the independence day commemorations which will be held next week.
SACCORD Executive Director Boniface Chembe has noted with concern that there is a political culture that has developed where some stakeholders are shunning national events.
Mr. Chembe told q news that independence day is an important day when Zambians should take stock of the progress that has been recorded and achievements attained since the country became independent in 1964.
He says stakeholders especially those in the political sphere should use this day to share solutions to Zambia’s political and economic challenges.
