Zambian stabbed to death in South Africa

Emmanuel-Mwamba-12A Zambian national identified as Mulenga Bwalya is reportedly dead after a man identified as his South African friend stabbed him to death in South Africa.

Bwalya aged 35years and holding passport number zn499905, was stabbed to death by a man identified as his South African friend, during a drinking spree in Benoni, Johannesburg in the early hours of Sunday.

Reports indicate that mulenga was stabbed after the two engaged in a quarrel which resulted in a stabbing.

Bwalya was later taking to the nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Bwalya was a warehouse worker at a company called Benash transport apex in Benoni.

And Zambia’s high commissioner to South Africa, Emmanuel Mwamba says he is saddened to learn of the untimely death of Mr. Bwalya.

He says his office will follow up the case with the police in Benoni and will ensure that the culprit is arrested and brought to justice.

Mr. Mwamba says his office will also liaise with the family in Zambia and the Zambia Association in South africa (ZASA) over the repatriation of the remains of Mr. Bwalya to zambia.
