Govt urged to reduce poverty levels among Zambians

The government has been urged to fight against poverty if the country is to achieve the 7th national development plan (7ndp), which is the country’s blueprint for development.

Presence of God Ministries Apostle, Christopher Kunda has is concerned that high poverty levels are still a thorny issue among Zambians.

He notes that the high rate of population growth coupled with the lack of employment opportunities, has resulted in the inability of finding it difficult to earn a living.

Apostle Kunda is however confident that the situation can be reversed if new strategies are adopted.

He adds that government must create opportunities for poor people and value added to local resources while the private sector has to be encouraged to create a business environment to employ more people.

Meanwhile apostle kunda has appealed to government to bolster its fight against corruption amid many scandals that have erupted involving government officials.
