MNT president Daniel Shimunza says government can better address the economic challenges Zambia is in if it involves critical voices such as the opposition in finding the solutions.
Mr. Shimunza, however, states that if the patriotic front does not want to be criticized over the manner it is handling national affairs, it must as well leave government.
In an interview with Q news, Mr. Shimunza says his party believes that in a democracy, the opposition must give checks and balances to the government.
Mr. Shimunza says it therefore wrong for President Edgar lungu to attack any opposition political party for criticizing his government over how the 2019 national budget has been structured.
