President Lungu urged to hurry in appointing new Auditor General

President Edgar Lungu has been urged to expedite the process of selecting a suitably qualified person to fill the vacant position of Auditor General.

MMD Felix Mutati led faction National Secretary Raphael Nakachinda is urging President Lungu to realize the need to speed up the process of finding a competent person to occupy the office of auditor general.

Mr. Nakachinda has told Q-News says that it’s hoped President Lungu will heed to this appeal and ensure the Country has a substantive Auditor General.

He says the MMD believes that this is the only way the misappropriation and theft of public funds will be detected early.
