Opposition United Party for Development Nkeyema Constituency Member of Parliament Kapelelwa Mbangweta has accused government of using the social cash transfer funds to campaign for the previous by-elections which were held in some parts of the country.
And Mr. Mbangweta has charged that social cash transfer beneficiaries in his constituency have not been receiving the funds since last year and wondered how this is possible when government has been receiving funding from the donors.
He since challenged government to explain how the funds meant for the poor was misappropriated.
Meanwhile Mr. Mbangweta says arising from what has so far transpired, he is meant to think that the PF does not believe in its policies.
Mr. Mbangweta has told QTV news that it is an embarrassment that the head of state was busy boasting that the social cash transfer program has made some tremendous strides in alleviating poverty among Zambians.
