Families of Limpopo accident victims urged to be patient

Emmanuel-Mwamba-12Zambia’s high commissioner to South Africa Emmanuel Mwamba as appealed for patience from families of the accident victims which happened in Limpopo province, South Africa.

Mr Mwamba says the remains of the accident victims will be flown to Zambia once all mandatory procedures had been completed.

He says the process of identifying the deceased and conducting of postmortem has to be done.

Mr Mwamba says the bus service will fly into South Africa a relative for those victims without relatives in South Africa to help with identification.

He adds that his office is working with the South Africa Road Fund to meet some of the costs associated with the critically injured and the deceased.

And Mr Mwamba says one person listed as deceased, Precious Moyo Shoko is well and alive.

He explains that it has since emerged that Ms Shoko dropped at Beit Bridge for personal reasons before the accident happened later.

Mr Mwamba adds that another person feared dead, but was not on the passenger manifest list, is being traced.

He further states that of the nine admitted to hospital, only three were in critical condition.
