Chinese ambassador Li Jie says China respects Zambia’s sovereign tradition system.
And Mr. Li says his Country also hopes that Zambia’s judiciary system will deal with the alleged murder of a Zambian citizen by two Chinese nationals fairly and objectively.
He states that the Chinese embassy believes that the Zambian judiciary is capable of handling this matter based on facts and due process of the law.
Mr. Li states that China however regrets the loss of a Zambian life in the incident in which two Chinese nationals have been implicated.
He has emphasized that a vast majority of Chinese people and enterprises in Zambia do, on the other hand, have established deep good working relations with the locals.
Mr. Li believes that the China-Zambia relationship will not be influenced by an isolated incident in which the behavior of some Chinese nationals arouses the attention of some communities in Zambia.
He says his Country’s government always asks its enterprises and people living in Zambia to strictly abide by the laws and customs while actively integrating in the local society.
