The southern African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (SACCORD) has observed with concern that non issue based speeches in the political arena is derailing  the implementation of the revised decentralization policy.

SACCORD Executive Director Boniface Cheembe feels politicians must make the revised decentralization policy a talking point rather than spending time petty matters which do not add up to national development.

Mr. Cheembe has told QTV news that his organization would want to see politicians suggesting ways on how best the decentralization policy can be implemented for the benefit of Zambians.

Meanwhile Mr. Cheembe has reminded politicians in the country on the  desist from using hate speeches against each other.

Mr. Cheembe is concerned that due to the continued using of hate speech, those who are attacked resort  to retaliate in order to defend themselves .

He says this has lead to a chain of  hate speeches been issued by those affected.

Mr. Cheembe has called for an end to non issue based speeches among politician because they are affecting the rate at which development is taking place in the country.
