MMD expects tabling of Political Parties Bill in September Parley sitting

The opposition MMD says it is eager to see how government will outline measures it will put in place to tackle the issue of public debt in the sitting of Parliament which opens this month.

vlcsnap-3935-08-08-12h29m57s816National Secretary Raphael Nakachinda says his party wants to particularly see the solutions that government has crafted to get Zambia out of its current economic challenges.

Mr. Nakachinda says on the political front the MMD is looking forward to seeing the Political Parties Bill tabled in this session of Parliament which President Edgar Lungu is scheduled to open.

In an interview with QTV News Mr. Nakachinda says this is in order that the Country can begin to have political parties that operate in a more institutionalized manner.

Mr. Nakachinda states that the former ruling party believes that once the Political Parties Bill is enacted into law, capacity will be build to provide a platform for proper leadership.
