PEIF gives away K750,000 to 156 Lsk churches

vlcsnap-2018-09-03-14h50m36s836A total of K750,000 has been given out to 156 churches in Lusaka under the presidential empowerment initiative fund.

The Churches have also received incubators, oil making machines and block making machines.

Speaking during a signing ceremony of memorandum of understanding between the initiative and the pastors fellowship , PEIF national coordinator, Clement Tembo said the 156 churches are from all the seven constituencies of Lusaka.

Mr. Tembo says the initiative could not leave out the church in its empowerment programs as it is the custodian of the people.

Mr. Tembo has reiterated President Edgar Lungu’s commitment of empowerment the vulnerable in the communities and leaving no one behind including the church.

He has since encouraged the church in Lusaka and the country as a whole to unite for the betterment of the nation.

And representing the 156 churches, Pastors fellowship Chairman Reverend Ephraim Kambanja commended President Lungu for including the church in the empowerment program.

Reverend kambanja states that empowerment leads to peace and productivity and he has since assured that the church leaders will give guidance to the beneficiaries to ensure that the funds are utilized and used for the intended purpose.
